Inhouse BC software, network bookings and availability all update automatically--no need to allocate rooms to the networks. Percentages of rooms available and rates can be set separately for each network to provide sophisticated yield management. Tools for the association and its members to track and market rooms and other hospitality products. BookingCenter keeps a record of all transactions and computes commissions. Cost to the association--$0. BookingCenter provides these services free as a service on behalf of members who adopt BookingCenter software and online booking networks. BookingCenter provides a growth path for both the association and its members well into the future. - Inhouse property management software, with setup, training and support, one-time cost of $995 (software alone, $450), provides guest and reservation management, travel agent management, marketing lists and mailmerge, audit trail, output to Quickbooks and MYOB, very extensive reporting etc. Add-on modules -- call-accounting, owner management, conference management, e-commerce, multi-unit operation. - Central Reservation Service (CRS) maintains "single image" of inventory synchronized with inhouse software. You can review all data via browser at the online members area. 5% commission charged for bookings cleared through the CRS. - Online Booking Network. Through the CRS, BookingCenter clients can publish their rooms in major online marketing networks at the rates these networks charge--15% commission. IN PRACTICE... Because BookingCenter provides both inhouse software and the central reservation system, availability information flows automatically up to the association site and the online networks, and online booking information flows automatically back down into members' inhouse software. This is true "one-image" reservation recording. A reservation made anywhere appears everywhere at once. You don't have to allocate rooms. You won't double-book. As travel increasingly goes online your members will find this crucial. Changing vendors mid-stream to provide these functions would be painful. Meanwhile, members can enter room availability over the Internet, and receive booking requests by email or fax, so even those without inhouse software get the full benefit.
